🇬🇧⎪ODD&THEKEDGERS in action to reach the SDGs!

Updated: Nov 13, 2020

It is by taking action, by experimenting that we can discover what our real tastes are, that our innermost nature reveals itself” - According to Aristote

We are Fabian Collinet & Célia Chrétien and we are taking action and experimenting in our Pro-Act Earth/CSR “ODD&THEKEDGERS”! This project is led abroad during a part of our master’s degree at Kedge Business School Bordeaux, in France. Let’s talk about this experience!

What is a Pro-Act?

A Pro-Act is a teaching method proposed at Kedge Business School that relies on a project-based approach (working in teams, analyse an environment in order to define a strategy, setting objectives, manage the project’s tasks, collect and analyse the actions’ results, …) and on the achievement of tangible results for school programme participants (adapt itself to the real-life reactions of an environment, make tangible use of multiple skills, deal with a minimum level of risk-taking, face up to tangible actions’ results to integrate the performance-based approach, …). This teaching method must show consistency with personal and professional project to become a decisive factor for employability.

In this way, a Pro-Act, conducted from A to Z, permits to implement what we have learned (knowledge, know-how) and to construct our professional maturity (know how to be, know how to become).

What is ODD&THEKEDGERS?

ODD&THEKEDGERS, it is an international educational mission planned from September 2020 to December 2020 (in Greece, Croatia, Poland and Estonia) which aims to make Kedgers (Kedge Business School’s students) aware of the Sustainable Development Goals and to inform managers of tomorrow of responsible opportunities abroad in the associative, private and public sectors. ODD&THEKEDGERS, it’s a project created by Fabian Collinet, Project & CSR Manager in charge of designing an approach faithful to the SDGs/CSR and reproductible in all the organisations visited; led with Célia Chrétien, Marketing Manager in charge of designing communication tools to transmit this experience of sustainable development in an impactful and attractive way.

ODD&THEKDEGERS, it’s an approach in 4 steps:

• Step 1: SEE: Raising awareness of the SDGs.

This stage consists to help to discover the SDG’s matrix, its challenges, its interests, ...

• Step 2: ANALYZE: Find out about their international applications.

This one permits to understand the specific challenges in Greece, Croatia, Poland and Estonia through the SDG framework.

• Step 3: ACT: Take action.

This stage marks the beginning of the international parts to meet organizations (Private, Public, Associative) that use the SDG’s matrix in a concrete way. In many cases, one action has relevancy to more than one SDG, which reflects the cross-cutting of today’s global issues and challenges. That’s why ODD&THEKEDGERS will highlight that SDGs are interdependent: “one project, many contributions” to reach a sustainable development by 2030!

• Step 4: SHARE: Share their commitment.

The last stage of ODD&THEKEDGERS’ approach is to share virtuous actions via our communication media throughout our journey.

Help to contribute to reach the SDG’s by 2030 is one of the ODD&THEKEDGERS’ ambitions, an ambition shared in the Kedge Business School ’s community that ODD&THEKEDGERS aims to assert.
